Accessibility

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard U.S. courts and the Department of Justice look to for websites. This is our target across the site, including the pages where you browse stylists, book a session, and pay.

We build with semantic HTML and page landmarks, keep a visible keyboard focus indicator, label form fields, provide text alternatives for meaningful images, respect reduced-motion preferences, and check color contrast for readable text. We review accessibility as we add and change features.

Accessibility is never finished. Some content on Encore is created by independent stylists (for example, their photos and profile text), and we work to keep that content accessible as well. If you find a part of the site that is hard to use with assistive technology, we want to hear about it so we can fix it.
